Ryhmes of History Technology

“The future will be like the past, only with cooler toys.”

As I think about the technologies forded to us today, I must embrace the fact that technology is repeating itself. As a child, I was often entertained by video games. I loved them. Seeing my interest in these video games, my parents would pull out their favorite video game, the Atari in which they loved playing pack man on. I loved playing the Nintendo where I spent hours playing Super Mario Brothers and a duck game that had a play gun to shoot with. AS the years passed, I saw technology becoming more and more advance. The development of the Sega Genesis, Game Boys, the Nintendo DS, the Xbox, to the Playstation, all rapidly took over the video game market. Each year, something new was being invented and introduced to the world. Now the Wii is taking over the market.

With analyzing the advancement of each of the video game advancements, all are replicas of each other. When you look at the very first, the others were created to make the entertainment more advance and more worthwhile, the goal for the years to come. The video game world has shown that the future gadgets are replicas of the past, except they are faster and cooler.

  1. Evonie,

It is amazing how video games have changed over the years from the Atari to the Playstation 3. I am always amazed at the graphics and capabilities of video games. We have a Wii and as a competitive family we love to play the different games against each other. Do you think that video games rekindle the need to compete us humans possess or maybe the need to gather together playing games?
